What does your writing space look like?

I usually write in a library, so it looks like a library. But I draw in my studio in Montreal. So i'm including some photos of my studio space.

If you could spend a day with another popular author (living or dead), who would you choose and why?

Raymond Briggs. I love the way he brings simple, truthful details into his work, like Father Christmas birdwatching or the working class environs in Ethel & Ernest or Gentleman Jim. I would love to have a cup of tea with him.

How do you celebrate when you finish your book?

A little book tour is the best way to celebrate finishing a book. You get to meet people who are enjoying your work and finding new meaning in it.

Is there something you do/have while writing that helps your process? (Music, snacks, etc.)

For writing, I like to have silence - which is kind of a treat these days, haha.

What book are you currently reading?

Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley. I'm late to this party but it's so good.
